Walter Benton Edwards, 76, passed away Sunday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Leland and Essie Mae Reaves Edwards. He attended Grace Baptist Church, had been a member of the Goldsboro Rescue Squad, and was a veteran of the National Guard. He ran Walter Edwards Garage for many years and later retired from Sears Auto Center.
