Wally Nerka (62) passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus on March 8th, 2020.
His final days were spent in the hospital then at home under hospice surrounded by several family, friends, co-workers.
Wally is survived by his loving wife of 8 years Gina and their dog Sally. He is preceded in death by parents Wally and Mickey Nerka.
Anyone that knew Wally knew his love and knowledge of sports; – especially his beloved Superbowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs and KU Jayhawk Men’s Basketball.
Wally never knew a stranger. His sense of humor and infectious smile put people at ease. Wally enjoyed people, animals, exploring the mountains of Colorado, Bruce Springsteen concerts, chatting about sports, anything Blueberry flavored and trying different restaurants.

Wally’s career span primarily consisted working in the mortgage and financial industries. He was last employed with Transamerica in Denver.
