Wally Bartkiw, 86, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021. No service is planned at this time. Burial will take place at a later date at Maugerville Baptist Cemetery in Maugerville, New Brunswick, Canada.
Wally was born March 26, 1935 in Montreal, Quebec, to Andrew and Anna Bartkiw. He married Christine on April 14, 1961 in Toronto Canada. Wally and Christine were residents of Urbandale since 1968.
Wally worked as a Customs Broker for Massey Ferguson, and later as a French-speaking Customer Service Representative for Yellow Freight. He was a long-time member of Mission Church in Urbandale, and a devout Christian his entire life. He had a great love for gospel music, was an avid golfer and very active in various other hobbies.
Wally is survived by his son, Dean (Danielle) Bartkiw; sisters, Olga and Grace, and his seven grandchildren.
