Wallace Roger (Wally) Kerr went to be with his Lord Friday, September 12, 2014, in his home in Berryville with his loved ones by his bedside. Wally was born April 25, 1934, in North Little Rock, AR, the son of Gerald V. and Mary Rema (Scarbrough) Kerr. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janice Kinser Kerr. They met in the 8th grade at Fourth St. Jr. High School, North Little Rock and were married July 11, 1952, at 47th St. Baptist Church, North Little Rock, by Rev. R. D. Harrington. Wally was a member of Southern Heights Baptist Church in Berryville. He loved his church and his Lord above all, spending time with his family, going to yard sales, walking, working crossword puzzles, playing pitch and dominoes. He was a Police officer at North Little Rock Police Department for 24 years, retiring July 1, 1980 as assistant chief. He then worked as a deputy for Searcy County Sherrif’s Office. He and Janice owned Ma Brown’s Antique Store in Green Forest from 1985 till 2002.
