Mr. Wallace “Gene” Caldwell, age 80, of Valley, Al., passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Caldewll is survived by his three children, James R. (Diana) Caldwell of Katy, Tx., Deborah (Travis) Caldwell Bittick of Valley, Al., and Teresa Gail Willett of Vernon, Tx.; six grandchildren, Miranda Darnell, Leslie Willett, Dana Willett, Christopher Caldwell, Lindsey Reynolds, and Marion Caldwell; five great grandchildren, Elizabeth Reynolds, Jaake Reynolds, Jr., Ireland Darnell, Zealand Darnell, and Rilee Caldwell; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend, Mary Bryan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Cladwell.
Mr. Caldwell was born on September 23, 1933 in Raandolph County, Al. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He had many hobbies and was a jack of all trades. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
