Wallace E. “Wally” Simoneau, age 87, of Norwalk, died on Monday, July 19, 2010 at Norwalk Hospital. Born August 2, 1922 in Lowell, MA, the son of the late James C. and Nellie (Tarrant) Simoneau, he was the husband of the late Charlotte (Sanders) Simoneau. A veteran of WWII, he was a high speed radio operator serving in the 6th Army, Signal Corps in Australia, New Guinea, Philippines, Japan and postwar “Task Force Frigid” in Alaska. An avid baseball fan, especially of the Red Sox, he enjoyed gardening, writing poetry, walking and ice cream.
