Wade Lucius Quattlebaum, of 722 Dees Lane, Ridgeville, widower of Jacqueline Rabon Quattlebaum, died Saturday, December 10, 2016 at his residence.

Wade was born in Harleyville on December 25, 1933 and was the son of the late James William and Naomi Heaton Quattlebaum.  He served in the navy during the Korean War.  He was the original owner of Santee Dock Builders.  He retired from Jim Bilton Ford as the General Sales Manager.  He pioneered an historical underwater research team.  Wade was an avid outdoorsman and devoted family man.

He is predeceased by his siblings: James Langdon Quattlebaum, Charles William Quattlebaum, Naomi Meta Banks, Laura Catherine Krantz, Cora Ozella Knight, John Walton Quattlebaum and Howard Joseph Quattlebaum, grandsons Montey Weeks and Michael Perry and great-granddaughter Margret Grace Weeks.

Surviving are four sons; Dana Quattlebaum, Eutawville, Ronald (Nancy) Quattlebaum, Harleyville, Sam (Tammy) Quattlebaum, Ridgeville, Lucas (Tonya) Quattlebaum, Bowman; four daughters, Tammy (Ted) Beasley, Dorchester, Debbie (Al) West, Eutawville, Donna (Scott) Hardison, Moncks Corner and Diane Quattlebaum, Ridgeville; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
