SALEM – Wade Berger, age 84, died at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living. He was born September 3, 1933 in North Georgetown, the son of the late Frank and Bessie (Zeller) Berger.
Wade was a 1951 graduate of Goshen High School and a graduate of Mount Union College. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 305 of Salem. Wade was employed for 43 years at Goodyear Tire in Akron. He enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, golfing and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians.
His wife, Barbara (Pitts) Berger, whom he married January 13, 1968 preceded him in death September 11, 2017.
Survivors include three sons, Frank (Lori) Berger of Salem, Jeff (Jill) Berger of Chapin, SC, Mark (Debbie) Berger of Pittsburgh, PA; a daughter, Dr. Rebecca Palmer of Salem; and eight grandchildren.
A daughter, Kimberly S. Berger; a son, Michael Kent Berger; and a brother, Karl Berger also preceded him in death. His first wife, Patricia (Mayhew) Berger also preceded him in death.
