W. Raymond (Ray) Swanson, Jr., 63, of 176 Round Hill Road, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at The Gatehouse Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ray and his wife, the former Judi A. Finkbeiner, observed their 17th wedding anniversary on May 9, 2009.
Ray was a co-owner of Ace/TA Lock and Safe Company and a member of the Church of the Ascension.
Ray was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Associated Locksmith’s of America, Harmonia Club and the Williamsport Moose. He was an avid bowler, hunter and a great husband, dad and role model.
Born April 27, 1946 in Scranton, he was the son of Wilbert R. and Helen C. Walton Swanson.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his mother of Montgomery; sons, Raymond V. of Williamsport and John M. (Rebecca) of Felton; sisters, Patricia Persun of Williamsport, Kathleen Ranck and Joanne Prokup both of Montgomery and Judy Fite of Plant City, FL; grandchildren, Chandler V. and Koy M. Swanson.
