W. Jean “Jeanni” Rogers, 68, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Jeanni was born on June 2, 1952 in Olympia, Washington. Jeanni was daughter of Carl and Alice (Skinner) Minor.
Jeanni attended and graduated from Olympia High School. She then went on to study sociology at Eastern Washington University. Jeanni worked as a social worker for many years helping children and adults with learning disabilities.
In her free time Jeanni loved reading true crime novels.
In the early days of online dating Jeanni connected with William “Bill” Rogers. They quickly fell in love and on May 24, 1997 they were united in marriage at the Hitching Post in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. This past May they celebrated 23 years of marriage.
Jeanni is survived by her loving husband, Bill Rogers; two sons, Christopher Mcquilkin and Matthew Mcquilkin and husband Shobhit; five grandchildren Nikkita, Rebecca, Tristen, Christian, Braeden and one great-grandchild Cheyanna. She is also survived by her brother David Minor and wife Mary Ann. Jeanni was preceded in death by her parents.
