Vostina was born on September 3, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky to the union of Major Albert Jr., and Ethel (Bradcheer) Mason. Vostina had two sisters who preceded her in death, Daisy Mae at seven months old and BEST FRIEND, Ethelda, recently deceased on May 15, 2011 at eight-eight years old.
She accepted Christ at Green Street Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky at an early age. Vostina received her formal education in the Louisville Public School System.
Tina, as she preferred to be called, located to Decatur in 1972, when she came for her nephew Ross’ high school graduation and never returned to her home in Chicago, Illinois. She joined First Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Elder John Ewing. Tina was a faithful member until her health began to fail in 2003 and she entered the USA Health Care and Rehabilitation Facility on May 15, 2003.
Vostina worked for Community Action in Decatur for approximately twenty-five years. She impacted many lives and loved providing assistance to those that came for services.
Tina leaves to cherish her memory a devoted brother-in-law, Ross Malone, Jr.; five loving and dedicated nieces and nephews, Ethel Batts (Terry), Ann Ezell, Rosselda Dixon (Mickael), Ross III and Clinton Malone (Bonnia); thirteen great nieces and nephews, nineteen great-great nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.
