Vondal Ray Peyton, age 73, of Muses Mills Road, Wallingford, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 28, 2010, at his residence.
Born April 5, 1937, at Zag, Kentucky, in Morgan County, he was the son of the late Wesley Cletis Peyton and Carma Ethel Osborne Peyton.
He is survived by one daughter, Tiffany Dawn Smedley and husband Jason of Wallingford, Kentucky; five sisters, Gladys Trent of Morehead, Kentucky, Mary Peyton of New Brunswick, New Jersey, Fern McKinney of Camargo, Kentucky, Dimple Murphy and Norma Sommers, both of Fairland, Indiana.
Mr. Peyton was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served his country during the Korean War from 1955 until 1963. He was a farmer and a former mechanic with Brogan-s Chevron.
