Vivion Ray Akins, 91, of Clarksburg passed away Monday September 9, 2013 at Genesis Health Care Center Salem. He was born July 31, 1922 in Port Orange, FL; son of the late Robert Fitzalle Akins and Hester Mae Wall. Ray is survived by four children, Philip Vallelonga of Clarksburg, Kenny Vallelonga of Bridgeport, Alice and Mike Freeman of Clarksburg, Jeannette and Mark Terneus of Bridgeport; nine grandchildren; one brother, Doug Akins of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Lois Berry of Tallahassee, FL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie Malack Akins. Ray was a retired carpenter; he served his country in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the VFW and Moose; loved hunting, fishing and traveling with his wife.
