Vivian W. Vidal (Garrett), age 97, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away on Saturday, January 20, at home after a lengthy illness. She was born in Miligan, FL, on June 8, 1909. Mrs. Vidal was a homemaker and moved from Crestview to Fort Walton Beach in 1959. She was a member of the D.A.V. #72, the Elks Lodge # 1795, American Legion # 235, V. F. W. # 7674, Loyal Order of Moose # 2193, and the River Rats of Fort Walton Beach. She had served as the first president of the D.A.V. Auxiliary of Fort Walton Beach in 1952, as well as several other elected positions with the women members of the organizations. She was preceded in death by her husband Ramon B. Vidal, Jr. and sister-in-law Martha Garrett. Vivian is survived by her brother and sister-in law, Kenneth and Lisa Garrett of Panama City, grandson Arneldo Peterson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
