Vivian Marie (Schjolden) Ohlson of Norwell and formerly of Plymouth, passed away at Southwood at Norwell Nursing Home on June 7, 2022 at the age of one hundred two. She was the beloved wife of the late George R. Ohlson; loving mother of George A. Ohlson and his wife Jane of Hanover and the late P. Kenneth Ohlson; grandmother of Scott Ohlson, Dawn Lastowka, Lauren Becker, Karolyn Gear, Eric, Kenneth and Jeffrey Ohlson; great grandmother of seventeen. She was the sister of Warren Schjolden of Rockland and the late Roy Schjolden, Gloria Schjolden and Sylvia Gronberg. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Vivian was born on May 27, 1920 in Boston to the late John and Marie (Johnson) Schjolden. She grew up and attended schools in Boston. She graduated from Boston High School class of 1937. She worked at R.H. Stearns Specialty Stores in Boston for five years where she met her husband, George. They wed in 1942 in The Swedish Congregational Church at Forest Hills. Vivian also worked for South Weymouth Savings Bank as a teller for several years. She was a member of the United Methodist Women Choral Group and a past member of the Viking Club in Braintree. She enjoyed music, dancing and gardening.
