Vivian Louise Chandler (Bell) (Tuttle) Billing,102, of Hawthorne Ave. died January 3, 2009 at Hewitt Memorial in Shelton. She was the wife of the late John W. Billing. Mrs. Billing was born September 4, 1906 in Brockton, MA, daughter of the late Vivian Cleveland “John or Jackie” and Abbie (Sampson) Bell.
Mrs. Billing had worked at General Electric Company in Bridgeport as a supervisor and union representative, retiring after 25 years. Later she worked at the National School Studio in Derby. She had also worked at the JC Penney Store, Derby branch, with the distinction of being the only employee who worked there when the store originally opened, and was still working there years later when the store closed its doors.
