Vivian Jeanette Hawkins Fowler, 75, Summerville, GA, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, March 24, 2013 at Floyd Medical Center.
Vivian was born April 3, 1937, in Trion, GA, the daughter of the late Herschel and Allie Jane Moore Hawkins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph T. Hawkins and Albert Hawkins, as well as a baby sister, Betty Jo Hawkins.
Vivian spent the majority of her life supporting her family by working in the textile industry at companies such as Bigelow, Shaw, Mount Vernon Mills and Mohawk Industries-of which she retired from a few years ago after over a decade of employment. She was a very talented artist and held a degree in Business Management.
Vivian is survived by two daughters, Eugenia A. Brown and Donna T. Fowler; a granddaughter, Miana Hawkins-Tomkinson (husband, Norman Tomkinson), a grandson, Philip R. Ward; and a great grandson, Colin S. Ward. She is also survived by several cousins, nephews and great nephews.
