Vivian E. Rockel, 96, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Woodland Terrace Assisted Living, Allentown. She was the loving wife of George V. Rockel, with whom she shared over 67 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Agnes (Harcar) Roslin. She served in the US Army Nurses Corps during WWII, and later worked as a registered nurse at Reading Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, Holy Family Manor, and Westminster Village. She was a charter member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. Vivian delighted in the active lives of her grandchildren.
Survivors: Husband George; daughter Sheryl Hegedus and her husband Jeffrey of Allentown; son Mark Rockel and his wife Mary Jo Kealy of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren Kevin and Andrea Hegedus, Michael and Thomas Rockel. Vivian was predeceased by her brother, Louis Roslin, Jr.
