Vivian Elizabeth Poole, 74, of Des Moines, died February 20, 2022 after a long battle with chronic liver failure.

Vivian was born November 9, 1947 to Ray and Ruth (McCoy) Burnett in Keokuk, Iowa. She grew up in southeast Iowa.

After high school, Vivian continued her education at Faith Baptist Bible College and then transferred to the University of Northern Iowa, earning a degree in elementary education. After college, she began teaching at Grand view Park Baptist School and serving at Grand view Park Baptist Church. It was at GPBC that she met the love of her life, Daryl Poole.

Vivian and Daryl were married on June 21, 1974. They had three children, Jason, Eric, and Megan. They loved raising their children and made many precious memories as a family traveling together.

Vivian worked in various fields over the years and especially enjoyed her time as a Tupperware salesman and manager. She cherished the relationships she made during that time.

Over the years she enjoyed her yearly trip with Daryl to see the fall leaves. She also enjoyed playing games with family and friends. She loved getting together with friends for coffee and lunch.

Vivian is survived by her husband, Daryl Poole of Des Moines, son Jason (Christine) Poole of Pleasant Hill, son Eric (Amanda) Poole of Altoona, and daughter Megan (Christopher) Nichols of Des Moines. She is also survived by her much loved grandchildren, Rylan, Elizabeth, Elaina, William, Abigail, Mia, Caleb, Jay, Lewis, Claira, and Mason as well as many loved nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. She is also survived by her brother, Rodger Burnett of Amana, Iowa.

Vivian was preceded in death by her father, Ray Burnett, her mother, Ruth Burnett, sister, Marilyn, and brothers Earl and C.W. as well as other loved ones.
