Vivian E. Kroll, age 93, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Our House Senior Living in Wisconsin Rapids.
Vivian was born January 21, 1928, to Ervin and Florence (Gray) Kroening. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1945. She married Ernest AA Kroll on August 7, 1948, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. He passed away on January 15, 2015.
Vivian worked at Ahdawagam (later paperboard) before her marriage. Later, she was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed walking and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Vivian is survived by five children: Nan Durand of Brownwood, TX, Ernest (Jeanna) Kroll, Peter Kroll, and Sally Hafermann all of Wisconsin Rapids, and Edward Kroll of Sheboygan, WI; grandchildren: Kelly Hafermann of Brooklyn, NY, Liz (Cody) French of Katy, TX, Katie Lewis of Brownwood, TX, Mike (Heather) Durand of Buda, TX, Jon (Julie) Durand of Aledo, TX, Jessica (Jason) Krohn of Wisconsin Rapids, Branden (Jenny) Mews of Wisconsin Rapids, Melanie (Ryan) Quam of Spanaway, WA, Connor Kroll of Milwaukee, WI, and Emma Kroll of Milwaukee, WI; great-grandchildren: Bradley, Whitney, Aubrey, Kaitlyn, Hunter, Brayden, Aspen, Wilkes, Madison, Luke, Claire, Garrett, and Dante; and brother, James (Nancy) Kroening of Phoenix, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ernest; siblings: Marian (Richard) Dekarske, Edward (Helen) Kroening, and Marjorie (Robert) Forster; infant daughter Jan Elaine; son-in-law George Durand; and daughter-in-law Brenda Kroll.
