Norwich – Vivian Cecilia Kilcollum, 91, of Hamilton Ave., died Thursday with her family by her side at her son’s home in Canterbury.
She was born in Nova Scotia, Canada on August 10, 1922, daughter of the late Alfred C. and Premelya (Laurette) Brine. Mrs. Kilcollum was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Norwich. She had a lovely singing voice and was a member of the St. Mary’s Choir for many years. Some of her family’s fondest memories are of her singing beautifully as she went about her day. She was a woman who placed family above everything else. Vivian worked most of her life at John Meyer Co. in Norwich, retiring in 1977. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kilcollum is predeceased by her husband, Thomas Francis Kilcollum, who died on March 2, 1988.
Vivian is survived by her children and their spouses, Jean Rosacker and Nancy Warburton of Groton, Barbara and Richard Donovan of Voluntown and Thomas and Madonna Kilcollum of Canterbury, eight grandchildren, Lea Saccoman, Edward Rosacker, Chad Rosacker, Michael Kilcollum, Justin Kilcollum, Ryan Kilcollum, Sarah Kilcollum, Lauren Donovan, six great grandchildren and five half siblings, Stella Marie Auxier, Allen Brine, Arnold Brine, Ronald Brine and Donald Brine. She is also predeceased by a brother, Edward Brine, a sister, Pam Quintiliani and a brother, Alfred Brine, Jr.
