Vito Ronald Larison, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2012. Vito was born on March 17, 1921 in Utica, New York.
A World War II veteran dedicated to serving his country, Vito enlisted in the U.S. Army Signal Corps and served throughout Europe, taking part in the liberation of Holland and transmitting messages considered to be of historical significance. Vito documented his experiences in the war extensively, including collecting unique photographs of his fellow soldiers engaged in day-to-day activities on the European front.
After studying electronics at Rutgers University, Vito launched his career at Curtiss-Wright in the aeronautical industry. He moved from Paterson, New Jersey to Southwest Denver in 1959, working for many years as an Aerospace purchasing manager at Martin Marietta until retirement.
Vito always loved music, playing both the piano and the mandolin.
Vito is survived by his wife Ann; daughters Ruth, Phyllis and Susan; sons David and Tim; grandsons Andrew, Josh and Alan; and his brother Sal.
