Vito Esparo, 81, of Woodbridge, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday February 28, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Laura Luciani Esparo. Vito was born in New Haven May 26, 1934 a son of the late Louis and Carrie Minichino Esparo. He was the father of Renee (Paul) Longo, Kim (David) Smith and Bryant (Margo) Esparo all of Woodbridge. Family meant everything to Vito. He especially loved watching all of his 9 grandchildren Paul, Brandon, David, Carrie, Westyn, Kelsey, Bryant, Hayley, and Nicholas grow and took pride in all of their accomplishments. Mr. Esparo leaves behind his brother Louis “Chick” (Maryann) Esparo of Boston, MA and his sister Barbara (Brian) Dixon of Guilford and many nieces and nephews. Vito served in the Military Police during the Korean Conflict and was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an international businessman in the 1960’s and a local entrepreneur, remaining active in New Haven County his entire life.
