Virginia Marie (Uribe) Wright joined her Lord on May 12, 2016. She was born September 21, 1929, in Nampa, Idaho, to Pantaleon and Maria (Zabala) Uribe. Virginia was raised by her grandparents Jose and Gloria Zabala, after losing her mother at 15 months old.
She lived in Barber, Idaho, until she was six, before moving to Emmett, Idaho. After graduating from Emmett High School in 1947, she worked for the Emmett Abstract office.
Virginia married her high school sweetheart, Vernon E. Wright, on July 1, 1950, enjoying almost 66 years together. She had a heart of gold – always taking care of others – and was loved by everyone she met.
She belonged to La Organizacion Independiente Sociale.
Virginia is survived by her husband “Gene”; her children Jana (John) McAdams, Kevin (Diane) Wright, and Marty Wright; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Mark, her parents, and grandparents.
The family thanks First Choice Home Health and Hospice, especially Erin, Jenny, Sherry, and Chaplain Bruce; and the staff of Grace Assisted Living State Street for their kind, compassionate care given Virginia.
