Virginia G. Sturm – “Gini” – was born on August 17th, 1939 in Emory Virginia and passed away on Tuesday, April 5th, 2016 in Grand Junction, Colorado from a stroke. She is survived by her husband Gerald “Jerry” Sturm and 4 children – Trey, Jeff (Leslie), Mike (Zeida) and Suzanne; grandchildren Gabriel and Zion Sturm, and Taylor and Jacob Sturm as well as brother Lester ‘Mason’ Gillenwater. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Lester and Ella Mae Gillenwater, sister Jane Scott and brother Richard Gillenwater.
She grew up in Richmond Virginia where she attended college studying education. She also modeled in various local publications for clothing stores and automobile sellers.
Gini will always be remembered for her kind, generous and giving nature. She would never let anyone leave her house without some food, a bible or some awesome find from a garage sale.
