Virginia Joyce Stamey, 89 of Rossville, died Saturday, February 2, 2013 in a local nursing home. She was of the Baptist Faith, and was preceded in death by her husband: James L. Stamey, Sr., a son: James L. Stamey, Jr., and a brother Ray Casteel. She is survived by her daughter: Susan (Gary) Hughes, Cordova, TN; two brothers: Don and Raymond Casteel, both of Athens,TN, and a sister: Betty Goodner, Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; 3 grandchildren: Jerry Stamey, Betsy Jones, and Holly Winkles. and 8 great-grandchildren.
