Virginia Smith Brown

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2016. She was born on June 7, 1925, to Parley and Florence Hendricks Smith in Logan, Utah, where she grew up. She met her sweetheart, Knowlton Hanks Brown, while ice skating in Logan and they were married on September 3, 1946, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Brigham City where they loved and raised their 6 children.

Virginia is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully her entire life. Her favorite callings were serving in the Stake Relief Society and the temple. She was a partner in her husband’s business ventures, taught 4-H, liked traveling, and was a speed demon. Her favorite job was being a Mom.

She is survived by her 6 children; Tamara Brown Forsgren, David Knowlton (Lynnette) Brown, Andrea Lee Brown, Deborah Jean (Que) Fullmer, Robert Hanks (Sherri) Brown, and V. Elizabeth (Craig) Mitton; 36 grandchildren; 79 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 brothers; Parley LaMont, Ross, and Richard; 4 sisters; Gwen, Ruth, Joan, and Colleen, and 4 grandchildren; Christopher, Tammy, Brooke, and Geoffrey.
