Virginia Sellers Howard, age 85, of Wagarville passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021. She was born to the late Hubun and Bessie Sellers on June 9, 1935.
Virginia attended Leroy High School and graduated in May of 1953. Soon after graduation, she married the love of her life, Wilbert (Bo) Howard. Once married, she began her career as an administrative assistant working at Geigy and later at Olin.
After her career, she was free to pursue her passions in life. Because of her creative nature, and love of beautiful craftsmanship, she developed into quite the artist. She is well-known for her beautiful needlepoint, iris paintings, and designer quilts. She also loved to hunt, fish, and was an avid Braves fan. She never had children, but had three beloved pets, a Chihuahua named Pee-Wee, a dog named Tuff, and her late husband’s bob-tailed cat named Beauregard. If you knew her in any capacity, you most likely have a “Jennie story.” She was quick witted and a never failed to let you know her opinion.
Virginia is survived by her sister, Faye (Tommy) Johnson of Wagarville, and a host of nieces, nephews. Virginia’s husband, Wilbert Howard and her brother Ray (Shirley) Sellers preceded her in death.
