Virginia Rivers Beasley, faithful servant of Christ and loving and inspiring wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2016. She is predeceased by her husband, M. Jack Beasley, Jr., her parents Eugene and Pauline Rivers, her sister, Juanita Walters, and her brother, Eugene Rivers, Jr. She is survived by her son, M. Jack Beasley, III (Krista) of Attalla, her daughter, Leigh Beasley Simmons (Gil) of Vestavia Hills, and her grandchildren, Jack Beasley, IV, Rebekah Beasley, John Beasley, Julia Simmons, Tucker Simmons, and Ellen Simmons. Her family expresses their thanks to her dedicated caregivers Sandy Brooks, Kathy Baldwin, Marsha Gulledge, Mary Campbell, and Kandice Brown. She was a member of Liberty Park Baptist Church, the Legacy League of Samford University, the Eastern Women’s Committee of Fifty and a former member of Huffman Baptist Church.
