Virginia Rae “Ginny” (Webster) Schulte, 86, of Peru passed away peacefully in her home July 1, 2014.
Virginia was born on June 25, 1928 in Joliet to George and Frankie (Woodward) Webster. She graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in music and English. She married Robert W. Schulte on May 10, 1952 at St. Patrick’s Church, LaSalle. He passed away July 15, 2000. Together they had four children. Virginia was a homemaker and a teacher at Hall High School. She enjoyed going to the opera, symphonies, Stage 212, and especially Ravinia. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Peru, LaSalle Women’s Club, and director of Lyric’s and Harmonaire’s singing clubs.
Survivors include her children, Barbara (Ed) Lischewski of Dalzell; William (Peg) Schulte of Granville, Becky Olsen of Stoneham, MA; and Jane (Patrick) Finnigan of Carmel, IN; 6 grandchildren, Jody Lischewski, Jennifer (Sachin) Goel, Blake Young, Liz Schulte, Kelly Olsen, and Gwen Schulte; 4 great-grandchildren, Liam, Jack, Milo, and Shaila; and her siblings, Jack (Connie) Nicholson of Indian Wells, CA; and Jean Johnson of Los Angeles, CA. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert.
