Virginia M. Sideri, of Uniontown, Ohio passed away with family by her side on April 6, 2022. Born in Elyria, Ohio to the late Frank and Mary Petrowsky on April 10, 1928.
She was a devout Roman Catholic and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Virginia served in multiple community organizations including The Sons of Italy, The Salvation Army, and Women’s International. In 2004, The Sons of Italy honored her with the Silletti Award for her outstanding contributions. Virginia was a volunteer at her church, Nativity of The Lord Jesus Catholic Church, where she enjoyed making meatballs and pasta for their annual spaghetti dinner and helping with Vacation Bible School in the summer. Virginia loved gardening at her home, trying her luck at the slot machines and Italian cooking. In her early twenty’s she sang for a band in San Fransisco. She was very musically talented and passed the love of music to a couple of her grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her three children, Rebecca Scott, Dennis Sideri (Charlotte), Toni Sideri, six grandchildren Lauren Scott, Alexis Haupt (James), Callie Suder, Tayor Bond (Cole), Connor Sideri (Laura), Courtney Gower (Brandon) and four great-grandchildren; Emma, Olivia, Kailynn, and Crew.
