Virginia Maxine (Sanders) Metzger, 90 of Centralia, passed away Saturday, July 02, 2016 at SSM Health St. Marys Hospital in Centralia.
She was born on March 28, 1926 in Dix, daughter of Arthur Sanders and Ola (Street) Sanders. She married Victor H. Metzger, Sr. on January 12, 1946 in Sandoval and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1987.
She is survived by a son, Victor H. Metzger, Jr. and wife Yvonne of Cape Coral, Florida; two daughters: Helen Donoho and husband Ronald of Centralia and Alesia Finley of Centralia; seven grandchildren: Angela Donoho of Centralia, Greg Donoho and significant other Lori Henderson of Fort Worth, Texas, Adam Finley and wife Jeanna of Salem, Aaron Finley and wife Shelly of Central City, Isaac Finley and wife Tabatha of Centralia, Christina Davis and husband Scott of Alva, Florida and Michael Metzger of Cape Coral, Florida; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Rollinson of Centralia; a sister-in-law, Pat Sanders of Mt. Vernon; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great-granddaughter: Alexis Hassano, son-in-law, Mark Finley, three brothers: Darrell Sanders, Jerry Sanders, and Herbert Sanders, and five sisters: Frances Guyman, Wanda Mazon, Shirley Beal, Dorothy Simmons, and Margaret Sanders.
Virginia was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Centralia. She enjoyed playing card games with her friends at Heritage Woods. She was a very artistic painter. Virginia’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends.
