Virginia Mae Davis, 83, of Oceana, formerly of Shinnston, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at her residence, surrounded by her children. She was born September 14, 1939 in Bingamon to the late Wallace Franklin Hall, Sr. and Jessie Lorraine (Sharp) Hall.

In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Richard Davis, Sr., one son, James Eric Davis and one brother, Wallace “Frank” Hall, Jr.

Virginia was a member of Bikers for Christ, The Worship Dance Team of Family Life Fellowship, worked at Emanuel Christian School, served as a volunteer for Child Evangelism Fellowship, as a Sunday School Teacher and sang with the “Hall Sisters”.  Virginia loved to crochet and had gifted many items such as afghans, doilies, scarves and hats all over the world.  As she would crochet, she prayed for each of the recipients.  She cared deeply for her family and she was a true Proverbs 31 woman.  After moving, she moved her membership to Faith Baptist Church in Matheny, WV.

She is survived by three daughters:  Gina Tichnell and husband Warren of Oceana, Joyce Davis Stire of Haywood and Rachel Davis Mead and husband Curtis of Morgantown; one son, Bryan Richard “Rick” Davis, Jr. and wife Dawn of Orange Park, FL; one daughter-in-law, Darla Edgell Davis of Jacksonville, FL; 19 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; one brother, Eugene Hall and wife Barbara of Mannington; three sisters:  Phyllis Baker and husband Willard of Bridgeport, Elaine Smith and husband Larry of Buffalo Lake and Debbie Carpenter and husband Craig of Lumberport, as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. 

Keeping with Virginia’s wishes, she will be cremated.
