Those left to honor Virginia’s memory are his son, Michael York (Anita) Adams of Chattanooga, TN; 2 grandchildren, Emily Louise Adams and Ross Michael Adams; her brother, Ron (Beverly) Yockey of Sandwich, IL; sister, Rene Walker of Newton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd A. and Evelyn Louise (Ferdig) Yockey.
Virginia gradauted from Leeds High School in 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa. She worked for several years for Progress Industries in Newton, retiring in 1998.
She loved being with her family and friends, she enjoyed cooking, collecting recipes, gardening, and antiquing. Virginia truly enjoyed taking care of others.
