She was born on January 12, 1957, in Martinsburg, WV to the late Paul M. and Marietta (Dellinger) Johnson.
Virginia was a 1975 graduate of Hedgesville High School in Hedgesville, WV and attended Shepherd College for 1 year.
Virginia was a member of St. James Brethren Church in Fairplay, MD. She was very active in the Church and even served as the floral designer and decorator for the Church.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years Mark Karcher; daughter Leslie A. Karcher of Hagerstown, MD; brother Fred Johnson of Hedgesville, WV; granddaughter Lauren M. Karcher of Smithsburg, MD; granddaughter Ashlyn G. Karcher of Hagerstown, MD; nephew Jacob Johnson and his wife April of Martinsburg, WV; many other extended family members and friends.
