Obituary
MILTON — Virginia T. “Ginny” Troutman Heddings, 55, of Old Orchard Road, Milton, was welcomed into heaven in angels arms Tuesday, June 24, 2008. She was born December 17, 1952 at Geisinger Medical Center, a daughter of Joyce (Kuhns) Troutman of Dornsife and the later Arthur R. “Bud” Troutman.
She married Wayne A. Heddings on April 6, 2008.
A native of Dornsife, Ginny graduated from Line Mountain High School in 1970 where she played basketball and softball. She was employed for 31 years at the former American Home Products/Con Agra, Milton, and for the past five years she worked for the Milton School District in the Payroll Department. Much earlier in her life she had worked at the Selinsgrove Speedway.
She enjoyed boating and water skiing and spending time at the family river lot. She had an interest in cars and was proud of her 1974 Road-Runner. She loved Labrador Retrievers, especially her black lab, Magic, her golden, Lacey, and her chocolate lab, Hershey. Ginny loved sports and loved following her daughters sports activities.
Surviving besides her mother of Dornsife and her husband of Milton , are a daughter, Nicole E. Troutman, at home; a step-daughter Kimberly S. Heddings, Gainesville, Va.; a step-son Joshua R. Heddings, Pearl River, NY; a sister and brother-in-law: LuAnn T. and Thomas Mannion, and a niece, Lisa M. Mannion, all of Mechanicsburg.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Paradise Street, Turbotville, with the Rev. Erwin C. Roux, her pastor officiating, assisted by the Rev. Barbara J. Collins of Follmer Lutheran Church, Milton. Burial will follow in Follmer Lutheran Cemetery, rural Milton. The family suggests contributions in her memory be made to either the Zion Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund, PO Box 277, Turbotville, PA 17772 or to Evangelical Home Hospice, One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville.
