Born May 7, 1925 as E. Virginia Hallock-Paxton in Milton, New York, Virginia was educated at Susquehanna University PA and Arizona State College, Tempe, Arizona through an MA in Music Education finishing BA and MA on the GI Bill after 13 months in the Marine Corps during WWII.

Virginia taught elementary school music and some regular 4th, 5th, and 6th grades in Arizona and Montana thirteen years, retiring in 1979 to take care of her two aunts back in Milton during their late 80’s and early 90’s for five years, moving to Deming in 1984 where she has been singing in the Methodist Choir and playing piano and instrumental solos at the evening Nazarene services. She had supervised the Goldsingers for many years and a string group the last few years.

Turning 80 in 2005, Virginia took on the challenge of playing every week a different instrumental/vocal program (most numbers memorized) at Willow Manor.

After two previous marriages, Virginia tried again. June 6, 2000 marrying John Edward Paxton and surprised, we’re still married! Besides John, Virginia is survived by son, Daniel Hallock, trumpist, and wife, Janet and grandsons, David, a pianist and cellist, and Joey a violinist and all 4 men are engineers. Her next husband will be normal.
