Virginia H. Gilbert (nee Hurff) of Burlington Township, died Friday, November 4th, at the Masonic Home of New Jersey, she was 95 years of age. Born on September 18, 1916 in Collingswood, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Lorine Hurff. Virginia had been employed as a secretary for the Burlington Township Board of Education for 17 years retiring in 1980.
A member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Church Women’s Club, Virginia was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Burlington Women’s Club, the Monday Morning Quilters, the Burlington Garden Club and was an avid bridge player. Preceded in death by her husband Harry, her daughter Lee Zimmerman and son David, she is survived by her granddaughter Sharron Zimmerman and her husband Joseph Stumpf of Roswell, GA.
