GOSHEN — Virginia “Ginny” Tait, 91, of Goshen, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 18, 2012, in her home.

Ginny was born Oct. 9, 1921, in Summers County, W.Va., to Charles Franklin and Hazel (Phoebus) Wiseman.

She married Arthur Robert Tait on Jan. 1, 1943, in Elkhart. He passed away on July 11, 2012.

In addition to her husband, Bob, her parents, three brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughters, Sharon J. (David) Grow of South Bend and Shirley K. Yacuk of Fishers; son Larry A. (Barbara) Tait of Holly, Mich.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother James Wiseman of Marcellus, Mich.; and sister Mary Dull of Elkhart.

Virginia, or “Ginny” to her family and friends, was a wonderful homemaker. She was very active in her children’s activities such as Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4-H, and being a room mother. Ginny was an excellent cook and decorator of fancy wedding cakes.

She was a strong supporter of Concord High School Athletics, especially gymnastics. She was a 37-year charter member of Trail Riders Saddle Club and a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
