Virginia Elizabeth Nine, 92 of Moatsville passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Grafton City Hospital with her family by her side. She was born June 10, 1919 in Tucker County, daughter of the late Lorenzie and Delsie Lipscomb Wotring. Virginia was a homemaker and loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is survived by five sons, Carl Nine of Montrose, WV, Jerry Nine and Sue of Elkins, John Nine and Sharon of Thornton, Richard Nine and Sharon of Moatsville, Charles Nine and Joyce of Moatsville; five daughters, Ruby Hershman and Herbert of Moatsville, Sue Hershman and George of Moatsville, Sharlet George and Larry of Junior, WV, Grace Propst and Gary of Franklin, WV; Francis “Fred” Nine of Franklin, WV; two brothers, Ray Wotring and Patty of Parson, Bobby Wotring of Baltimore MD, twenty six grandchildrens, Tim, Tessa, Tonya, Shelley, John, Anthony, Troy, Jay, Lisa, Charlotte, Donald, Melissa, Travis, Gideon, Dallas, Richard, Tommy, Jason, Nancy, Douglas, Patricia, Billy, Dustin, Martha, George and David; thirty nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Richard Nine in Feb. 1979 whom she married in 1936, one daughter, Virginia Ruth Channel, one in infancy, one grandchild, Cindy, two sisters, Olive “Sis” Gower and Gertrude Ratsford, two daughter-in-law, Dorothy Nine and Roxy Cline, three son-in-laws, Roger Pifer, George Channels and Ed Johnson.
