Virginia E. Stiffler, age 88, of Salem, died at 6 p.m. September 18, 2013 at the Salem Community Hospital. She was born March 4, 1925 in Salem Ohio, daughter of the late Wesley and Ruth (Clark) Hanna. Virginia was a member of the Highland Christian Church and a 1943 graduate of Salem High School. In recent years, she worked for Home Care Advantage. Her husband Charles E. Stiffler, whom she married November 8, 1943, preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 2006. Two sisters, Louise Ott and Vera Hanna also preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Newbauer of Salem and Karen Mlinarcik of Salem; a son, Allan Stiffler of Kissimmee, FL; two sisters, Norma Jean Hippley of Lisbon and Denise Betz of Lisbon; four grandchildren, Nicholas Mlinarick, Danyell Smith, Tonya Condit and Tiffany Beaumont; and three great-grandchildren, Danny Smith, Danalyn Smith and Chloe Condit.
