Virginia E. Buck (nee Phillips), 86, of Mesopotamia, OH passed away peacefully Friday afternoon May 26th, 2023 at home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Garfield Heights, Ohio on September 11th, 1936 to the late Frank and Ercie (Bennett) Phillips. Virginia later married her best friend and the love of her life, Fred Buck on March 11th, 1954.
She graduated from Chardon High School in 1954 and began working at Landmark, which eventually became known as Countrymark and most recently Centerra. After 44 years, Virginia retired and began being an Amish taxi driver to many of her friends. She enjoyed going on long vacation trips with them. Virginia also loved crocheting and baking. Her homemade oatmeal raisin cookies were the best!
Virginia will be missed by: her loving husband of 69 years, Fred; children, Deborah (James) Gallagher, Regina Lawless, Fred (Kathy) Buck, Teresa (Paul) Francis; grandchildren, James (Beth) Buck, Fred (Jackie) Buck Jr., Mike Buck, Sara (Jeremy) Wicker, Megan (Danny) Wilkins, Jonny Lawless, Andy Lawless, Jenny Buck, Eric (Samantha) Fabian, Leanne Fabian, Brianna Krumpe; step-grandchildren, Chas Powell, John (Jennifer) Petrovic, Josh Petrovic, Gwen (Jimmie) Davis; great-grandchildren, Brian (Michaela) Buck; Quinten Buck, Daniel Wilkins, Emily Buck, Tyler Buck; Emilia Wilkins, Sloan Wicker, Grayson Fabian, Chloe Fabian, Joseph Mamonis, Lauren Pitzer; step-great-grandchildren, Max Powell, Alexis Davis, Jacobi Davis; sisters partner, Herb Clipson; and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lisa Krumpe; half-brother, Paul Phillips; brothers, Warren (Martha Manderson) Phillips, Raymond (Nelva) Phillips, Howard (Ruth) Phillips; and sister, Shirley Hunter.
