Mrs. Virginia Threadgill Baldwin, 98, transitioned from earthly life into eternal life on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at her residence.

Virginia was born on May 18, 1915 to the late Claude and Sallie Threadgill in Anson County, NC. She attended public schools in her hometown. As her skill in hair styling progressed, she attended Madame C. J. Walker Beauty School in New York and graduated in 1940. She remained in this field for many years and later transitioned into a domestic capacity of employment until retirement. Mrs. Baldwin was a lifelong member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church where she served faithfully with her presence, monetary gifts and service until her health began to decline. She was a member of Christian Stewardship, H. W. Cobb Ladies Adult Sunday School Class, and a charter member of Senior Choir No. 2.

Virginia was fondly known as “Toots” and was truly loved by all of her family and friends. She had a big heart and her flair for style was even bigger. You would always find her dressed to impress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Royster Baldwin; son, Ronald Baldwin, Sr. and four brothers.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, two sisters, Lillian Threadgill and Bernice Pemberton both of High Point; two grandchildren, Ronald (Cathy) Baldwin, Jr. and Tonya Baldwin both of Greensboro; three great grandchildren; A very special niece and caregiver, Linda Pemberton, a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
