Virginia DeTullio DeMartino, 94, of East Haven passed away Oct. 13, 2013 at her home. She was the wife of the late Ralph J. DeMartino. Mrs. DeMartino was born in New HavenDec. 8, 1918, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary DeBiase DeTullio. She worked at SNET Co. for over 30 years prior to her retirement. She was a graduate of Hillhouse High School where she was a member of the girls basketball team. She was a lifetime member of the National Parent Teachers Association and was an avid fan of UConn Women’s Basketball. She is survived by three sons, Ralph (Patricia) DeMartino Jr. of Rocky Hill, Norman (Ursula) DeMartino and Thomas (Robin) DeMartino, both of East Haven; one sister, Gloria Novicki of East Haven; 7 grandchildren, Michele, Tricia, Alicia, Ursula, Norleen, Norman & Mary Beth; and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by lifelong family friend, Robert Baker. She was predeceased by 4 brothers, Joseph, William, Almerico and Anthony DeTullio; 3 sisters, Anna DeAngelo, Louise A. Esposito and Margaret “Peggy” DeTullio; one grandson, Thomas DeMartino and one great granddaughter, Madison Virginia Ponte.
