Virginia Davis McBride, 89, of Burlington, NC, was able to achieve her ‘Greatest Dream’ when she left this earth to join her beloved late husband, William Guy McBride, on Sunday, January 22, 2017.
Having spent the last year of her life with failing health in hospital, rehabs and assisted living facilities, she died peacefully after a short stay at the Hospice House in Burlington.
Born in Hoke County, NC and raised in Roxboro, NC, Virginia was the daughter of the late Mabel Swanson Davis and the late John Thomas Davis.
She was retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church in Burlington.
Survivors in addition to her nieces and nephews are her beloved twin great-nephews, Matthew and Lukas Long and beloved great-niece, Sara Long, children of her niece, Sandra Hill Long and her husband Todd Long of Hurdle Mills. She was preceded in death by all of her seven siblings.
As per her request there is no service planned.
