Virginia Straub Chamberlain, 83, Anderson, passed away November 27, 2011 at Countryside Manor, Anderson after an extended illness. She was born January 21, 1928 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson all of her life.
Virginia was a 1945 graduate of Anderson High School and she worked at Community Hospital for 15 years.
Virginia was a member of the American Legion #127 Ladies Auxilary, VFW #266 Auxiliary, Amvets and Madison County Voiture #510 40 & 8. She was also an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her children, Connie Jarrett James of Frankton, Kenneth Wayne Chamberlain of Anderson, Deborah Cook of Elkhart and Thomas Chamberlain Linda of Guam; 11 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Chamberlain on February 24, 2006; son, Michael Chamberlain; parents, John & Ota Hamer Straub; and brother, John Straub.
