Virginia C. Black, age 89 of Birmingham, AL passed away on December 27, 2016. She was born on June 29, 1927 to Sarah and Robert Carter. She is a member of First Baptist Church, Irondale, where she loved attending her Sunday School Class. She retired from Westinghouse. She enjoyed Ball Room Dancing and she volunteered to cook and help those in need. She took pride in caring for her family and neighbors. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 48 years, J T Black, daughter, Kaye Renfro and her son, Donald J. Black. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Bailey (Terry); grandchildren, Tara Lawton (Richard), Brandi Renfro (Gina Ray), Ryan Renfro (Christie), Michael Renfro and Jay Renfro; great grandchildren, Sarah Renfro, Kanyon Ray-Renfro, and Hayden Renfro and many nieces and nephews.
