Mrs. Virginia Butler, age 84, of Beulah, AL, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
Mrs. Butler is survived by her daughter, Sherrell B. (Rev. Richard M) Smith of Holly Pond, AL; son, Kris (Beverly Senger) Butler of Beulah, AL; grandchildren, Ric Smith, Robert Todd Smith, Kathhryn Adams, Ashley Butler, and Zaneta Daigle; great grandchildren, Michael Sanders, Annalea Andrews, Kelsey Smith, Savannah Adams, Cecilia Daigle, and Julia Daigle; great great grandchildren, Emily Sanders and Levi Andrews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Butler.
Mrs. Butler was born on Feb. 26, 1930 in Langdale, AL. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shawmut. She was the Owner / Operator of Butler’s Neighborhood Grocery in Shawmut during the 1950s and 1960s. She was a well known seamstress and enjoyed boating, swimming, and deep sea fishing with her late husband, Mr. Butler.
