Virginia “Bootsie” Clevenger Nancarvis, 78, of 182 Jackson Ridge Road, West Liberty, died of natural causes Friday, November 12, 2021. Virginia was retired at the time of her death.

 

Virginia was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston, WV, and attended the Trenton Nursing Academy in New Jersey. She furthered her education, graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Lebanon County Career and Technology Center in Lebanon, PA.  Virginia lived most of her adult life in Manheim, PA, where she raised her four children. While there, she founded or participated in a number of socially conscious organizations focused on promoting the adoption of solar as an energy alternative.

 

Later in life, Virginia made West Liberty her home.  She enjoyed many pastimes, such as quilting, canning, gardening, collecting recipes, discussing politics, and studying the United States Constitution.

 

Virginia was born in Charleston, WV, on April 24, 1943, to Emory Lee and Valda Sargent Clevenger, who preceded her in death.
