Virginia Block, 86, of Nampa passed away Friday, January 11, 2008 of natural causes.

Virginia was born February 3, 1921 to Francis M. and Myrtle J. Davenport Van Matre at Stamford, Nebraska. She was reared and educated in Nebraska, graduating from Kearney High School in 1938. Virginia married Wayne Donaly, Sr. in 1939 and moved to Idaho. They returned to Nebraska and then back to Idaho after their second son was born. She and Wayne had two more children and were later divorced.

Virginia moved to Nampa in 1952 where she went to business school. She married Floyd Block in September of 1955. Virginia worked for A.I. Meyers Insurance Agency until 1967. She worked in various jobs until she went back into the insurance business with Graves Holden Agency, retiring in 1982. After her retirement, Virginia worked several years for the Vallivue School District as a Teacher’s Aide, assisting students with special needs.

Virginia is survived by 3 sons, Wayne Donaly, Jr. of Nampa, Jerold Donaly of Hidden Valley Lake, CA and Ronald Donaly of Boise; a daughter, Suzanne Crume of Nampa; 2 grandchildren, Lonnie Crume and Lisa Crume Fisher; a great-grandson, Dylan Fisher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; a daughter, Kitty Lynn Block; her parents; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.
